We publish four package prices — from £4,990 for solar only and £6,890 with a battery, on one roof elevation with a single scaffold lift. Your roof and usage set the final figure, which you get in writing as part of your free roof design and fixed price. Solar and battery are zero-rated for VAT until March 2027.

No. Our installs are fitted to MCS standard with proper weatherproof mounting, and a company owner is on site to make sure it's done right. The work is fully certified.

Most installations are completed in a day or two once booked, and we can often fit you in within as little as two weeks of approval.

Tier-1 panels come with a 25-year warranty and batteries with a 10-year warranty, all backed by an insurance-backed guarantee with the IWA (Independent Warranty Association) for extra peace of mind.

No. A battery works on its own — you charge it from the grid when rates are lowest (usually overnight) and use that cheaper energy during peak hours. It works even better paired with solar.

It depends on your usage and whether you have solar. We size it in your free roof design so you're not paying for capacity you won't use.

Yes — a properly designed system keeps your whole home warm, even in winter. The key is correct sizing and design, which we do at survey.

A typical domestic solar installation is completed in one day, start to finish. Battery storage is usually fitted the same day. We give you the date in writing once the scaffold and DNO paperwork are confirmed.

No. Your free roof design and fixed price cost nothing, and neither does the survey that confirms them. There is no obligation at any point.

Very little. Panels have no moving parts and rain does most of the cleaning on a pitched roof — that's why they carry 25-year performance warranties. The inverter is the workhorse and typically gets replaced once in the panels' lifetime (modern ones carry 10-year warranties). Your monitoring app makes any fault obvious. Honest answer: a standard grid-tied solar system switches off in a power cut — it's a legal safety requirement. If backup matters to you, a battery system can be designed to keep essential circuits running (fridge, lights, Wi-Fi); tell us at the design stage and we'll build it in. Without backup wiring, your battery simply pauses with the grid.

You can absolutely add one later — retrofit batteries are a routine job and also 0% VAT. Doing it at install time is usually cheaper (one visit, one commissioning, an inverter chosen for it), which is why most of our systems include a battery from day one. If budget is tight, we'll design the solar so a battery slots in cleanly later.

Panels installed by an MCS-accredited installer are considered a permanent home improvement, and most insurers simply ask you to tell them so buildings cover reflects the new value. We provide all the certification your insurer could ask for. It's worth a quick call to your insurer after installation — premiums are rarely affected.

The system stays with the roof and transfers to the new owner — along with the remaining panel and battery warranties and the MCS certificate, which we register properly for exactly this reason. A certified, well-documented solar and battery system is a genuine selling point rather than a complication.
