Coastal air is harder on hardware
Southend, Leigh-on-Sea, Canvey and the Thames estuary get salt in the air. Panel and mounting datasheets carry a salt-mist corrosion rating (IEC 61701); for a coastal address we check it before specifying, and say so in the quote.
Conservation areas in Havering and Redbridge
Gidea Park, Emerson Park, Wanstead and other conservation areas still allow solar under permitted development in England, with one limit: panels must not sit on the elevation that faces a highway. We check the boundary at the survey, not after.

Do you install battery storage without solar panels?
Yes. A battery on its own can still pay for itself by charging on a cheap overnight tariff and running the house through the expensive part of the day. It is a common choice where a roof is not suitable for panels.
